Reciprocating
Compressors
APCCO offers reciprocating compressor rebuild and
replacement options.
When a
reciprocating compressor is rebuilt by APCCO, you are
guaranteed that all compressor components have been
replaced or machined to factory specification and
tolerance. A qualified journeyman level service
technician will carefully inspect and overhaul your
reciprocating compressor in place at your facility or in
the APCCO rebuild shop.
APCCO offers remanufactured compressor replacement as an
economical alternative to purchasing a new compressor.
A remanufactured
compressor has all new internal parts and a used
compressor casing. By purchasing a compressor with a
used casing, you are able to enjoy a significant
savings. Extended warranties are available on
factory-new and remanufactured compressors for an
additional cost
.

In the past, the industry standard for scheduling screw
compressor overhauls was based on the operating hours a
compressor had accumulated.
With advances in vibration technology
specifically designed for screw compressors in
refrigeration applications, that
industry standard is no longer the most cost
effective way
to maintain the integrity of your screw
compressor.
Periodic
monitoring of your screw compressor and motor with vibration
analysis requires no down time and allows you to
predict the condition of the bearings. As the
bearings begin to develop
defects, a compressor overhaul can be scheduled
based on the actual condition of the bearings, not
the
operating hours. This is a low cost
advantage that will extend the life of the compressor
without compromising its reliability.
In most cases the life of a compressor will extend well
beyond the number of hours recommended for overhaul.
APCCO
performs a comprehensive analysis that takes into
consideration the bearing types and
configuration, and the number of lobes and flutes
on the rotors. APCCO has
observed impressive results where the accuracy of the
vibration reports mirror the actual condition of the
bearing upon removal.
Condition-based monitoring is at the forefront of
compressor maintenance. Bring your facility up to date
by introducing a vibration analysis program today.
Reduce costs, decrease downtime and feel comfortable
knowing that your equipment is being monitored regularly
by the best in the business. Contact the
Service Department to receive competitive pricing
on vibration analysis for your facility. Multiple

Training
Ammonia
safety and awareness courses are offered for all
levels. The basic ammonia safety course
is an eight hour course, but we also offer a
condensed four-hour refresher course.
APCCO
offers training seminars designed to provide attendees
with a basic knowledge
of the operation, maintenance, and
troubleshooting of industrial refrigeration equipment
and systems.
The
seminars accomplish this with both classroom
lectures and hands-on segments conducted on your own
facility’s equipment. The lecture portion of the course
includes refrigeration safety information for overall
systems as well as
for specific pieces of equipment. Basic
refrigeration principles, properties, and theories will
be reviewed to
give you a higher level of confidence when
operating, maintaining and troubleshooting your own
system. The hands-on portion includes each specific
type and piece of equipment at your location, defining
its purpose and proper operating parameters.
Additional training topics could include frequency of
maintenance, performing maintenance within the plant’s
PSM guidelines, identifying potential problems that
could result in downtime, and troubleshooting equipment
deficiencies.
No
matter what your application, your skill level, or your
location, we have a training course that can be
customized to fit
your needs. Please contact the Service
Department for more details.
Remote System
Monitoring
Take comfort knowing that
APCCO is watching your system. APCCO has the capability
to monitor your system remotely from our corporate
office to check your set points, reset alarms,
and determine if a service call is warranted.

Preventative
Maintenance Programs
Keeping your equipment running reliably and efficiently
requires constant attention
to detail. Our goal at APCCO
to work
with your maintenance team to achieve a dependable
system and lower the burden of your in house maintenance
crew.
A
preventative maintenance program guarantees a more
reliable system, reduces operating costs by
maintaining efficiency and identifies small problems
before they cause a system failure or loss of production
time.
Each
Preventative Maintenance Program is tailored to meet the
customer’s specific needs.
The frequency and scope of work are customized to
work in collaboration with the on-site staff to maximize
the system’s capabilities and give each customer the
support that they need.
