Course description:
Consist of a 3-day classroom training course designed for Refrigeration Service Technicians and support personnel who troubleshoot and maintain industrial refrigeration plants and facilities covering topics related to the RETA CRST Exam Review and subject material. This advanced course is designed for ammonia refrigeration system service technicians, refrigeration mechanics, refrigeration supervisors, and other individuals who will be responsible for troubleshooting and performing advanced service tasks. This interactive training will include a PowerPoint lecture on each topic covered along with individual chapter questions and group activities to aid in the operator’s understanding of the topics and promotion of team building skills. During the training, practice exam questions will be given and reviewed similar to those found on the RETA CRST examination. At the conclusion of the course, an official RETA assessment exam will be given to verify each operator’s understanding and retention of the RETA CRST material and any areas where additional study may be needed. Completion of the CARO & CIRO courses is recommended so the student has advanced skills for servicing an industrial refrigeration system. Details for enrolling and scheduling the RETA CRST exam will be provided and discussed at the conclusion of the course as well as instructions for access to additional support if needed for the student’s individual preparation needs.
