CARO Review / Operator Level I Training Course (Fresno)

Who should attend:

Refrigeration Operators, Refrigeration Mechanics, B&R Operators, Utility Workers, Refrigeration Maintenance Supervisors, and all other Maintenance Personnel working with or around the industrial ammonia refrigeration system.

Course designed for:

Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator (CARO) / Operator Level I is an entry-level course designed to identify whether an individual has the basic knowledge to function safely in an engine room under the supervision of a more experienced industrial refrigeration operator. There are no minimum experience requirements.

Course description:

Consist of a 4-day classroom training course designed for Refrigeration Operators / Personnel covering topics related to the RETA CARO certification and subject material.  This introductory course is designed for individuals who will be monitoring the operation and maintenance of Industrial Refrigeration systems and will provide a foundation for basic refrigeration principles, safety and components.  The interactive training will include a PowerPoint lecture on each topic covered along with individual chapter questions and group activities to aid in the operator’s understanding of the topics and promotion of team building skills.  During the training, practice exam questions will be given and reviewed similar to those found on the RETA CARO examination.  At the conclusion of the course, an official RETA assessment exam will be given to verify each operator’s understanding and retention of the RETA CARO material and any areas where additional study may be needed.  This course is designed to aid the operator in their individual efforts to prepare to take the RETA CARO exam.  Details for an online RETA CARO practice exam will be given for the operators to take on their own to prepare for the exam.
